Jaime Echt is the founder and creator of The Crafter’s Workshop. She pulls inspiration from all parts of her life including being a mom, Girl Scout Leader, shop-a-holic, choc-o-holic and wonderer of all things interesting. She started her business back in 1997 when “mixed media” was a well-kept secret kept by art students and avant-garde artists.
Jaime became interested in stencils after finding it difficult to purchase funky, yet pretty stencils for her paper-arts customers. So, she made her own. The rest is history!

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer
Hello! My name is Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. I am a mixed media painter, collage maker, and avid memory keeper living in the midst of the craziness that is New York City. I blog five-days a week at Balzer Designs. My blog is chock full of artsy inspiration. I write about visiting museums, teaching classes, new products, new techniques, things I’ve made, artists I love, and every Friday you can join the linky list for Art Journal Every Day. I make an effort to art journal every single day and on Fridays I share art journal pages, techniques, ideas, supplies, tutorials, etc. If you’d like to take a class from me, I teach both online and in-person. I try my very best never to duplicate online and in-person content, so you’re always getting something fresh from me!

I’m a mom of two girls who are the loves of my life. I began scrapbooking many years ago and my work has evolved over the years to include mixed media projects which more often than not include the beautiful stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop. Marlene Meijer van Niekerk
Mixed media artist & art journaller Marlene Meijer-van Niekerk is a South African origin artist who chose not to be limited to the culture she happened to be born into, although she misses the colours, sounds and smells of Africa on a daily base and recognizes its influences on her work…she tries to free herself of limitations….by pushing the boundaries of the materials she uses.”By defining yourself, you are limiting yourself.” I refuse definition by race, country, gender, orientation, education, career or language…..and I try to work in several art styles, not limiting myself by man set borders. I believe it is part of my creative freedom and broadens not only my view of art, but the all over experience too.”
Marlene’s art is often described as vibrant, original, colourful, free and positive. She uses a lot of different mixed media and applies them in various techniques. She works on paper, in journals, on canvas and loves stamp design and integrating stencils in her work.

My name is Kasia Krzymińska, but sometimes I use my nickname Czekoczyna (or Czeko to make it shorter). I’m 24 years old and I’m from Poland. I am absolutely an artistic soul – I’m searching for an inspiration everywhere and everyday – in music, nature, old books, bad weather, dreams … I love summer, meadows and beautiful notebooks. I started painting from a young age and most of my skills and knowledge are self taught.
